The R2 Builders Club was founded in 1999 by Dave Everett and is an internet based fan club with over 5,000 members world-wide. Club members use the web to gather information and share thoughts and ideas with one common goal…to build life sized astromech droids. The R2 Builders Club has since spawned several droid-specific build clubs represented by the Droid Builders organization as a whole.

Droid Builders of Tennessee has many members located around the state and surrounding areas. Several members have completed droids, some are in the build process and yet others are just starting to do research.
